Project Description:
Located within one of Albuquerque’s oldest urban neighborhoods, the Senior Center serves a diverse population. In designing additions to expand the facility from 3,300 SF to 5,000 SF, the improvements included: a new mutli-purpose dining room, laundry for residents, lobby and reception, offices, and arts and crafts area. In an effort to minimize crime in the area, the street adjoining the property was closed to vehicular traffic – while still allowing pedestrians to walk to and from the neighborhood.
